LAW AND GRACE: THE 1ST HOUR WORKERS VERSUS THE 11TH HOUR WORKERS

July 28, 2024

Beloved, the Lord is reminding you to live trusting in His goodness! He wants you to know that He is good to you! He is good to you not because of your obedience or your performance. He is good to you because Jesus died so you can experience God’s unmerited favor and goodness! Even when you have failed, you can still run to His goodness because His goodness is not dependent on our works but on the finished work of Jesus on the cross!

He is that good to you, beloved! He wants you to lean hard on His goodness. He wants you to face the uncertainties of the future believing that your God is good to you!

When you trust in His goodness, you cease trusting in your strength. When you trust in His goodness, you will experience that even though you lack many things, the Lord Himself is the One covering you and causing you to succeed inspite of your shortcomings. When you trust in His goodness, you experience to work just an hour and yet get paid fully!

NO MIXTURE, ONLY GRACE

July 21, 2024

And just as a church, we took a stand, I highly encourage you beloved to take a stand personally! Take a stand to not mix Grace with Law. Take a stand believing that all the promises of the Lord come only by Grace! Because it comes by Grace, it is free and undeserved! Because it is free, there is no price to pay because it has already been paid for by Jesus! He was the One who paid the impossible price for our blessings so that today it is free for us! Because it is undeserved, there are no spiritual levels of maturity you need to reach first before you will receive. God is not waiting for you to live an obedient life before you will receive. It is undeserved! Jesus was the One who obeyed and the One who deserved to be blessed but chose to give it to us on the cross! Our part is to only receive this free and undeserved blessings of the Lord!

A FAVORED FILLED LIFE

July 14, 2024

We are so used to this saying and hear it so often that it sounds “cliche”. But this is the undeniable, blessed reality we, as children of God, have in Jesus. The best is yet to come!

As highly favored children of God, we have every right to “expect” good things to come to us! As Pastor Noel put it yesterday, the Lord Himself wants you to expect good to come your way – and not just simply expect, but to happily expect! He wants you expect because He died to give you this “good future”. He suffered so that you may prosper! The Lord wants you to expect because you are His favored child! Just as a parent has nothing but good plans for his kids, the Lord has nothing but good plans for you!!! And His plans for you are unlimited. Even as you advance in years, the Lord has more to give you!!! Never think that your good days has passed! Remember, Moses started living his best days when he was 80.

STANDING ON FAVOR GROUND.

July 07, 2024

According to the Lord, because of what Jesus has done, you stand on favor ground! Allow this wonderful truth to sink in your heart, beloved. You stand on favor ground!!!

We were supposed to stand on cursed ground. Thorns and thistles were supposed to grow where we are standing. A barren land was supposed to be the ground we stand on. But Hallelujah to Jesus! He took our place so that we could take His! He took the thorns and the thistles! He took all of our curses on the cross so that today, we stand on favor ground!!!

And what a ground the Lord put us in through Jesus!

It is the same favor ground that Ruth stood on. She trusted in favor and the Lord put her at the right place at the right time. The odds being stacked against her cannot stop the favor of God from making her a success!

HE BROUGHT US OUT. SO HE MIGHT BRING US IN.

June 30, 2024

The Lord wants to bring you into His promise. The Lord wants to bring you into the life He died to give you. He wants to bring you to abundance! He wants to bring you to rest!

But can you see Church?
To bring you in, He needs to first bring you out. Many times, it is simultaneous. As He brings you out, He also brings you in. But there are times also that it takes time to bring you out.

To bring you in, He needs to first bring you out from your traditions, from your old thinking, from your old beliefs, from your old way of doing things, most especially from your comfort zones!

He brought Abraham out from his father. Out from his family. Out from his country (Genesis 12:1). The Lord brought Abraham out from his father to bring him out of his father’s strength. He brought him out of his father’s customs, of his father’s way of doing things which is normally by stress and toiling.

WHAT MAKES JESUS HAPPY?

June 23, 2024

We were brought to believe that a spotless life, a life lived in moral excellence, a life of obedience, is the life that makes Jesus happy. Again and again, we were taught to deny ourselves and to count the cost because this is what it takes to become a “worthy” follower of the Lord. We were taught that we have to pay the price. Doing so would gain the approval of Jesus and make Him happy. But thanks be to God for opening our eyes to see the real Jesus! We are now slowly discovering that the Jesus in the Bible is far different from the Jesus we were taught to believe!

So what makes Jesus happy?

It is not when we live a worthy life. We saw in Luke 14 that Jesus was surrounded by “worthy”, “morally upright” and accomplished people. And yet Jesus was uncomfortable. These people invited Jesus to watch Him, to try to copy and be like Him. They were so strong in their own eyes that they thought they can be like Jesus if they observe Him enough. Jesus did not feel at home. He was grieved.

SETTING YOUR EYES ON JESUS IN TIMES OF TROUBLE

June 16, 2024

Many times, when we find ourselves powerless and at a lost on what to do with our problems, we become bitter and stressed. We never want to find ourselves in a situation where we do not know what to do. We resent the times where we are helpless and weak.

But in God’s eyes, these are actually the moments He wants His children to be in! In fact, the Bible calls us blessed when we are at the end of our ropes (Matthew 5:3 MSG). The reason according to the verse is that there will be less of us and more of God. It is during these times, when we do not know what to do nor have the power to meet the problem, where we are led to look to Jesus for help. It is during these times where we declare, “Lord, my eyes are upon You!”
