HE BROUGHT US OUT. SO HE MIGHT BRING US IN.

Deuteronomy 6:23 NKJV
Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers.

The Lord wants to bring you into His promise. The Lord wants to bring you into the life He died to give you. He wants to bring you to abundance! He wants to bring you to rest!

But can you see Church?

To bring you in, He needs to first bring you out. Many times, it is simultaneous. As He brings you out, He also brings you in. But there are times also that it takes time to bring you out.
To bring you in, He needs to first bring you out from your traditions, from your old thinking, from your old beliefs, from your old way of doing things, most especially from your comfort zones!

He brought Abraham out from his father. Out from his family. Out from his country (Genesis 12:1). The Lord brought Abraham out from his father to bring him out of his father’s strength. He brought him out of his father’s customs, of his father’s way of doing things which is normally by stress and toiling. Now we will understand why Abraham was the first one to have the revelation of rest. God made a covenant with him as he was sleeping! The Lord wants to do something new through Abraham so He brought him out from his father.

He also brought Joseph out from his father. One would say that what happened to Joseph was unfortunate. He was the favored one and became a slave because of the treachery and jealousy of his brothers. So how is it a part of the Lord’s plan? You know, sometimes, the Lord needs to bring you out from your security blanket and make you see that it is Him alone whom you need! As Joseph was brought out from His earthly father, he was brought in to a greater Father! As he was brought out of the resources of his dad, he came to the resources of God!

So Church, let us allow the Lord to bring us out! Let us not become like the Israelites where they were already brought out but wanted to go back to the ways of Egypt. Let us allow to Lord to bring us out of labor and toil. Let us allow the Lord to bring us out of stress and worry. Let us rest in Him knowing that HE is the One who will bring us in! Let us sleep knowing that “unless the Lord builds the house, the labor of the builders is wasted!”
(Psalm 127:1 NLT)
